I am a piano teacher and musician but have my own studio in Encinitas with a lot of space so my personal housing needs are fairly simple.

My profession demands making a lot of sound so a quiet environment would be a welcome change in pace from the workplace.

I'm a non-smoker and prefer to eat organic foods and would like to live in a home where others have similar habits.

I am also a yoga practitioner but do yoga primarily outside the home in group classes.

It's important to me that where I live have a nice kitchen and others who are supportive to eating meals at home and a healthy life style.

Here's more about me. I'm a 54 year old male. Besides playing and teaching music I do audio recording and concert videos. I've been doing yoga for over 10 years but never took enough classes a week to be an expert...it's part of my life style though. I make fairly simple meals but use organic foods. I don't need a lot of space for furniture because so much of what I own is in my studio.

I used to work for large corporations but decided to make some life style changes and prefer to live more simply and focus on music and teaching. It would be nice to have roommates who have the same values.

Because I work long hours in my studio a coastal North County location is preferred (Del Mar, Solana Beach, Encinitas, Carlsbad, Vista, Oceanside or San Marcos). I'm looking to spend a maximum of $600 per month and am not too concerned about amenities such as a garden or ocean view. Simpler is better. I will probably be eating dinner on week nights in my studio in order to teach students in the evening.

I am looking for a move-in date of on or before December 1st. Also, because of the recession no deposit or as low a deposit as possible would be preferred.

Also, I prefer to live in a situation that is owner occupied or organized by the tenants themselves. I'd rather not be contacted by investors who own a property and are renting out rooms for investment purposes but not living in the property.

I have a wonderful, very sweet, housebroken dog who likes to stay in my room or outside most of the time if I dont take her to work with me. She gets a long great with other animals and people and rarely barks. When I do overnight petsitting, most of the time my dog comes with me to play with my clients dog(s). Along with my dog comes an African Grey parrot. He is a talker-not a squawker. He is quite an amazing and intelligent bird who likes to mimic people and sounds. I have had him for 10 years. He would stay in a cage in my bedroom and occasionally comes with me to work (overnight petsitting) when a client has a bird.

...here�s the quick about what we're looking for:

MUST HAVES

1. *dog friendly* and maybe a situation that has another friendly dog for my dog to mutually sniff and powwow with once in a while...

2. *a safe parking spot for my little travel trailer* (it's as small as they come; it fits in the same space as a compact car � 13' long x 7' wide) � such as an off street parking space where i don't have to move it every week (do they really need to street sweep that often?)...it is just under 8' tall so unfortunately it doesn't fit in a garage...

4. *$500 per month rent including utilities, month to month* is where i'd like to keep it...i wish to strictly trade my services for rent as i am a finish carpenter and skilled in many facets of home renovation, remodeling, and repair especially anything involving wood...check out My Carpentry Portfolio to see what i'm capable of!...if you have a situation where you were thinking of hiring a capable carpenter for home improvements, but are having trouble affording it and you have extra room for me to live in while i do the work, then i'm your man...i also don't mind living in an apartment under renovation as long as it has a shower, toilet, hot water, a stove and a fridge or at least will when i move in...i can also live out of the trailer in parked off street while doing the renovations if the living situation is not quite habitable yet, but would still need access to a shower and toilet...

- he's 3 years old, half Shepherd, Half Greyhound (i think), weighs in at about 70 pounds, and is not a 'yapper', but does take pride in being a protector...

- i usually take him to work with me on the job...

- he gets along with all other species including big people, little people, birds, cats, and other dogs; he has never bitten a soul in his life...

- he�s a lover, a sad-ster, a chill dog or else a bundle of energy when it's time to play...

- he sheds some but not excessively, hence i like brooms and vacuums...

- i love him very much and consider him my only child...

My partner and I would like to try living in an intentional community in around Feb 2010. It is a long way off...but thought we'd put the word out in case you were looking.

About us: Professionals with stable jobs, we drink alcohol occasionally but do not smoke or do any illegal drugs (we do drink lots of coffee). We don't have kids or pets and are not opposed to living with someone who does have them. We are primarily vegetarian but do eat meat raised ethically once in a while (about once a month or so). We're not big television watchers and prefer to live with someone who is not big on television either.

Ideally we'd like to live with someone (or someones) who live ethically and consciously...since that would be the point of an intentional community that we're looking for. Although I did mention the North Park area as a place to live in, we're not opposed to living elsewhere in the city...criteria depends on proximity to farmers' markets, libary and a walkable neighborhood.

We can sign a lease for 6 month as a trial to see how things work out.
