Hey! I'm looking for a roommate! Sadly, my close friend and roommate of 2 years is getting married, and come July I'm out a roommate! I learned the hard way from past roommates that it's not about where you live, but who you live with. In the past (before my current roommate) I've found places to live that were very unfriendly, but I'm hoping not to make that mistake ever again. As of now, I really have no idea where I'm going to live, but I work in Rancho Bernardo and love the beach, so I figure anything off the 56 freeway would be great! (Mira Mesa, Rancho Penasquitos, Black Mountain, Carmel Valley, etc)

A little about me: I'm male, 27, UCSD alumnus, software engineer (aka: good stable reliable income), super laid back, but over all pretty clean. I seriously hate washing dishes, but when it comes to cleaning the rest of the place I'm REALLY good about that. I work full time, so generally I'm gone during the day on week days, but I like a nice fun atmosphere when I get home from work in the evening. I like to come home from work and be happy when my roommate's around, instead of having an unexplained awkwardness. I have an Xbox 360 (modded) with Guitar Hero, wii (modded), and an Xbox (modded). Unfortunately the big screen TV is my roommate's so if you have a large TV for the living room, you get bonus points! :) I enjoy some gaming here and there (usually on consoles) but have no problem sharing time on them or the TV. Someone who either goes to sleep late or is a heavy sleeper would be nice since I tend to stay up pretty late and don't want to worry about pissing someone off if I'm playing video games at midnight.

I'm nerdy when it comes to computers and stuff like that, but I'm always down to have fun and have people over. My current roommate and I try to cook together (steaks, sushi, etc) at least once a week and generally invite others over and have a good ol' time drinking and eating.

If you surf (the water kind not the web surfing) ;-) that would be awesome, cause if I ever get my board fixed, I'd love someone to motivate me to get back out on the waves! I'm also getting really into snowboarding and have my own snowboard as well.

I don't smoke or do drugs, and prefer the same in a roommate (at least none that I would be aware of... if you do it somewhere else, just don't tell me about it). I don't have any moral issues with it or anything like that, but I seriously can't stand the smell of smoke.

My girlfriend doesn't live locally so I generally see her on weekends (and summer) with me either driving up to see her or she comes down to see me. Either way, it's really important that my roommate is cool with her being around on weekends.

Overall, I just want a fun, chill, cool person to live with. Preferably not a total slob, but you don't have to be a clean freak. I really would like a master bedroom like I have right now, and covered parking spot or garage. YOU tell me. I make what I think is a decent salary. I take home $985 every other week. I have a car payment, and a small credit card bal, and that's it for debts.

It looks like I cannot afford a decent one bedroom apt in a safe neighborhood in this area, based on the rents I'm seeing here at Craigslist.

I have excellent credit, no history of evictions or bankruptcy, but I don't think I qualify to rent of of your high-priced apts.

I'm too old for the roomate situation...I'm a single-again 57 yr old. Working full time, but partially disabled. I'm appalled as well at the lack of affordable senior housing in this area.

San Diego seems an extremely inhospitable place, housing-wise.

I am a 25 year old male who will be attending graduate school at UCSD this fall. I currently live in Washington, DC and would desire to settle into a shared apartment close to UCSD by July 1st. I would prefer a long-term lease of 12-months (till at least July 1st 2009).

A larger room, such as a master bedroom would be ideal, as I have a queen-size bed. Additionally, I have a really nice(and recently purchased) brown leather ikea sofa. If there is room for this, that would be terrific. If not, I am sure we can figure something out.

As for me, I am a clean and respectful roommate (non-smoker) who can get along with almost anyone. I am orginally from New York but I've having been living and working in DC for the last two years. I enjoy both watching and playing sports, especially Ice Hockey and Baseball. I am actually married; however, my wife will be working overseas during the upcoming academic year, thus the reason why I need a shared apartment.

Close to public transport with quick and easy access to downtown SD. 1 Month to begin with but the option to extend on a monthly basis would be great. Preferably in the direction of USD and UCSD. I attend �City College� and I am a 6 Year Navy Veteran. As mentioned, I do have a Full -time job and I am financially able to pay some kind of negotiable fee for the small space I need to lay my head for 2 weeks. You see, I have a nice apt. myself in Santee with my boyfriend, but, he is going on vacation for 2 weeks and I would not like to stay by myself while he is gone.
