Tri Wellness is a corporate wellness company located in Carlsbad. We are filming 8 wellness practitioners, and are looking to end up with 20-25 videos that will be 2-3 minute each. All filming will be done in digital form. We will do all production, we just need you for post!
This project will be single camera and possibly single shot, with minimal need for graphics at the beginning of each video. No high-level special effects editing will be necessary. We will also provide you with an editing decision list.
Videos will be posted on a large scale website and so will have a high-volume of viewers!!!
Could lead to lots of professional exposure.
There is no compensation, however copy will be provided, in addition to potential for future work.
Filming will be done 12/5, and we would like to receive edited copy by 1/5.

Final Cut Editor to cut a 30 second spot due by Monday November 9th at 6PM ( you would need to start Sunday night and be done by Monday at 6PM). Approximately 10 hours of work required. Must have demo reel to be hired for this.

We are a Crewing Company looking for camera men and women in California to cover High School Football Training Camps and Games starting in 2010 and going through 2011 to start with.
We require that you have shot football before and feel comfortable shooting games (wide with a mild push in during each play - the formula never changes), also, we require that you have at least a pro-sumer camera or better.
We will consider all of those crewed to be sub-contactors, to sign a waiver, and you will be paid bi-weekly with 1099's being mailed out at the end of the tax year. We are looking to keep the same person on through the whole season of a team if possible.
These are pretty easy shoots as the games run about 2 to 2.5 hours and the Training Camps will be 4 to 6 hour shoots. On the games we will need Roster Sheets from before the game and Box Scores (so to speak) from after the game. The Training Camps, thus far - will just require the footage. All footage must be sent as playable DVD's. Footage must be mailed Express Mail the first weekday after Games. Timelines for training Camps are still being determined.
We won't be crewing these games for a few weeks, so please be patient on respones.
We will have more material on these shows as information arrises including rates ($100 minimum per game, and training camps will range from $200 to $250 and they will never be a full day) - so yes, these are all paid gigs and we are fair. We want quality footage and we also want you to be paid in a fair manner for your time, and that's the only way we'll do this.

Perhaps you are the one who has burned all the bridges and cannot get a paid gig. Perhaps you don't you are so limited that you cannot even understand that the word GIG, also means people doing things for other people for the experience. That being said, this is a super low-budget we're working with, so all production staff will receive deferred pay except for department heads. This means the grip and PAs will have a deferred payment schedule, and the gaffer will not.
The production interns will not get paid, but we can give school credit, depending on the amount of work you put in.
Of course, every shoot day will have craft services and meals, and credit will be given where credit is due.

Our internship program provides students hands-on experience working with talented broadcast professionals. In addition, interns may earn the chance to shadow news crews in the field. NEWS DEPARTMENT
Assignment Desk:
This is the hub of the newsroom, where information is organized. As an Assignment Desk intern, you will be responsible for helping make beat checks and answering and redirecting newsroom phone calls. Interns will also assist in coordinating guests, data entry of current and future news assignments and helping generate news story ideas. Interns will see first hand the process of taking an idea and turning it into a news story. Interns will gain valuable experience working with newsroom computer programs and communication skills.
Writing:
Interns will learn the basics of news writing and/or have the opportunity to apply classroom writing skills in a real newscast. Interns will help with script writing, script formatting, segment producing, guest coordinating, logging sound bites and sort/run anchor scripts. Interns will receive feedback from seasoned news writers and gain valuable tips to improve writing skills. There will be many opportunities to work with seasoned news writers and receive valuable feedback to help improve writing and communication skills.
Sports:
Interns will help write sports scripts/pkgs, editing sports highlights, and logging highlights of sporting events. Interns may also earn the opportunity to accompany the sports crew in the field at various sporting events and shadow the sports photographer and reporters.

The SDFC is a measly $20 (if you own equipment that you want to use- the fee can be waived) a month to join and you have access to various resources and the knowledge of veteran Producers, Actors and Directors. So, weather you are a beginning filmmaker or an expert who wants to infuse yourself into the San Diego Filmmaking community- this is the place for you.
I have two actors that need make up design, and need it bad.
Osama Bin Laden: My person for this has somewhat similar structure for the part, though he is young, I will need his skin aged, a full Bin Laden beard and grey up the hair.
Stanley: My person is too attractive for this part, so I would like to work with the Make Up artist in finding ways to make him less charming and very nerdy. As well he needs to be aged, and maybe lighten up the hair, grey it, or simply get a wig.

Film is in the vein of On The Ropes, Hoop Dreams, When We Were Kings, Mad Hot Ballroom and others but is entirely its own thing.
This is not your typical producer's job. The film is in a fine cut stage and we are seeking a number of producers to assist in taking this film from here to the theaters.
Requirements for position: most be very outgoing, adept at social media networking, have a good amount of experience in independent film and understand the state of film distribution today.
The production in based in LA but we are seeking a Producer in San Diego as well.
This is very much a part-time position and really won't intrude upon any time commitments you have on other projects or at other jobs. There is minor pay but more importantly, a Producer's credit on a great theatrical documentary film that should have very strong exposure.
