The Front-End Web Developer is responsible for the successful implementation of graphical user interfaces for client web sites. This role will require excellent practical skills in web development technologies as well as a good understanding of web site user interface design principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain clean, high quality, standards compliant HTMLcode.
• Create templates based on graphical designs that adhere to specification documents, conform to user interface style guides, follow brand guidelines and meet established usability standards.
• Implement cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility and troubleshoot associated issues.
• Maintain cutting edge knowledge of current and emerging technologies, industry trends and standards including, but not limited to, modern web browser capabilities, compatibility issues.
• Work in close coordination with the Graphic Design and Programming Team to ensure that implementation is done in accordance to design specifications and that design specifications accommodate realistic technical parameters and constraints.

Requirements

• 2+ years of web UI implementation experience
• Technical mastery of client side web user interface development technologies including HTML/XHTML, CSS and JavaScript (ability to hand-code a must).
• Knowledge of cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility including knowledge of and ability to solve common associated issues as well as investigate and troubleshoot complex inconsistencies.
• Second-nature attitude toward HTTP, FTP, navigating and organizing image directories, server hierarchies and related technologies.

• Web site presentation-layer development in collaboration with Art and Design teams. Similar to Community or Brochure artwork.
• Write complex custom JavaScript functions.
• Slices source artwork for web sites, emails and interactive applications.
• Ensure the integration of common site elements such as tracking, ad tags, global includes plug-ins, etc.
• Communicate frequently with project Web Producer to the status and needs for assigned projects.
• Formats and implements page content and rich-media emails using CSS, Ajax and HTML as appropriate.
• Introduces new technologies and functionality for web sites/projects.
• Assesses competitor*s web sites for presentation, functionality and usability.
• Implements Content Management System into web sites and related projects.

• Candidates must possess expert knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience working with dynamic Flash (Flash Remoting, XML) is highly desirable, but not required.
• Experienced in JSP, PHP, ASP, or similar object-oriented server-side scripting languages. JSP experience preferred.
• Proven ability to work with members of third party development teams.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience using libraries and frameworks like Ajax libraries * Jquery - in JavaScript.
• Experience working in Java and relational database based environment or working and interfacing with server side java engineers.
