Our company, located in Kearny Mesa has a position open for Web Designer / Technical Support Representative. Our ideal candidate is someone who is motivated, reliable, energetic, self-confident, and dedicated. We are looking for someone with the skills and desire to help our company grow!
The primary role of this position will be as web designer/developer (60-70%), technical support (10%) along with video editing (20%). Candidate must have experience developing and maintaining web applications and sites using HTML, XML, PHP, CSS, AJAX, Javascript, and MySQL. You must have at least 1 year of practical experience and the ability to code in a clean and efficient manner!
Job Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Integrate current & new websites with CRM software (InfusionSoft)
- Minimal system administration (Repairing corrupted tables, restarting services, etc.)
- Maintain and enhance our websites
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent HTML, CSS, XML, PHP & JavaScript skills
- Strong background in database design and web development
- Solid understanding of basic Internet Marketing concepts such as SEO & PPC
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Additional Qualifications Desired:
- Experience with AJAX, WordPress, or Drupal"
- Familiarity with aMember or WishList integration
- Understanding and experience with Asp.net
- Understanding of ColdFusion
- Proficiency with AdobePhotoshop
Video editing (20%) (i.e. using Sony Vegas) is also an important component of this role. Demonstrated proficiency in cutting, enhancing and editing videos from multiple formats is a must.
One of the role’s other responsibilities (approximately 10%) will be to provide technical support to customers who purchased the company’s software product (help desk support). This position requires strong general computer knowledge of email systems, firewalls, web technology, internet phones and Microsoft Office products to provide fast and accurate technical support to solve software challenges.
Strong people skills and problem solving skills are a must. Employee must also work with a sense of urgency and independence to facilitate business success.
The ideal candidate would also have strong skills in the following areas:
• general working knowledge of computers, operating systems and software
• proficiency with different operating systems
• good understanding of the common firewall software
• troubleshooting skills – help desk support experience is a plus
• people skills for customer support
• ability to design simple graphics
• problem solving & documenting skills
• organizational skills are very important
