Thomas Jefferson School of Law is looking for a full-time (no contractors, please), experienced Web Developer to join our IT Team. Web Developer must be interested in taking the School of Law to the next level of Web site development, management, and publishing. The Web Developer at TJSL will be given an opportunity to have a major impact on all Web initiatives by developing a Web CMS to serve as the content store to feed our primary Web site, sub-sites, and student and staff portals. The Web Developer will work closely with a Graphic Designer and will be responsible for creating templates and coding for all of the above-mentioned projects. The Web Developer will be given an opportunity to showcase all skills and abilities brought to the job.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful Web Developer will drive every facet of developing TJSL’s online presence. The Developer will work closely with a variety of in-house constituents including Admissions, Communications, Alumni and others. The Web Developer will be responsible for but not limited to:
• Managing development and maintenance of the Thomas Jefferson School of Law Web site and related projects.
• Participating in roll-out and ongoing health of the content management and publishing systems.
• Coordinating user interface development for all appropriate Web applications.
• Ensuring consistency and quality of content development tools.
• Suggesting technology solutions for future content and site management.
Candidates must have strong PHP, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX skills with additional skills in SQL queries, XML and XSLT. A deep understanding of Drupal, WordPress, or other Web CMS is required. An ideal candidate has a strong interest in usability and is interested in using their Information Architecture / User Experience knowledge.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Demonstrated understanding of CMS principles.
• High level of creativity.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Technical skills that include but are not limited to XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS, PHP, and browser DOMs. SQL/MySQL experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills, problem solving ability, and oral and written communication skills.
• Must demonstrate ability to work independently, learn quickly, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Should provide portfolio when interviewed.
• Portfolio must demonstrate skills and experience in developing products to the scale TJSL requires.
WORK SCHEDULE:
• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, weekends and evenings as needed.
