Telecommunications contractor looking for Experienced, Hard Working, Reliable, Intelligent and motivated person, possessing the following skills:

Applicant must have experience as a Communications Contractor in the Cox System.

Two part time positions available.

1. Cable Construction and Repair - Underground.
2. Cable Construction and Repair - Aerial and MDU (Multiple dwelling units).


1. Cable Construction and Repair - Underground.
Must possess the following skills:
• A basic knowledge of Cox system prints and how to read them.
• Experience setting peds, flush mounts and vaults.
• Experience proofing conduit – pushing cable and fiber.
• Experience working with underground utilities.
• Hand trenching experience.
• The ability to safely lift up to 100 pounds.
• Bobcat /excavator experience a plus.
• The ability to splice 540, 625 and 715 cables a plus.
• The ability to follow directions.
• The ability to think on their feet and make intelligent decisions.
• Effectively communicate with supervisors, fellow employees and customers verbally and in writing.
• The ability to use and have a complete understanding of various construction tools including but not limited to, 35 pound clay diggers, 90 pound jackhammers, tampers, boring equipment, asphalt/concrete cutting tools, rodders, hand digging tools, power washer, cable puller, air bottle and IR tow behind air compressors.
• A valid CADL & clean DMV record – “A” License a plus.
• Business and personal references required.
• Drug free– Must pass pre employment drug test.

2. Cable Construction and Repair - Aerial and MDU (Multiple dwelling units).
(This is not a cable installer position)
Must possess the following skills:
• A basic knowledge of Cox system prints and how to read them.
• The ability to splice 500, 540, 625 and 715 cables.
• The ability to use and have a complete understanding of various construction tools including but not limited to: 540, 625 and 715 coring tools, safe handling of 24 ft. fiberglass ladders, toner, butt set, variety of hand and power tools.
• Molding experience a must.
• Bucket truck experience a must.
• The ability to safely lift up to 100 pounds.
• The ability to follow directions.
• The ability to think on their feet and make intelligent decisions.
• Effectively communicate with supervisors, fellow employees and customers verbally and in writing.
• A valid CADL & clean DMV record.
• Business and personal references required.
• Drug free– Must pass pre employment drug test.
