Dear Parent or Guardian,

We are a group of students from SDSU who are making a short film called “Social Studies.” It is a story about two young classmates, Annie and Tommy. Annie helps Tommy learn a lesson about how you treat people, and the importance of kindness. This is a fun and playful film embodying the lively qualities of childhood coupled with the life lessons encountered on the playground.

This film requires several extras to be classmates. We are looking for students who have the ability to commit the time during shooting and have an interest in acting. The role of the extras will include playing on a playground and eating lunch. Some will have significant onscreen time so we are looking for kids who are interested in such roles. Extras will be responsible for their own school appropriate clothing and backpacks.

The shooting dates are Saturday November 14- 7am to 11am and Sunday the 15- 6am-11:30am and 1pm to 4pm. While there is no monetary compensation, snacks will be provided.

The location is Green Elementary School, 7030 Wandermere Dr, San Diego, CA 92119.
