Applied Professional Training, Inc is building our instructor team in search of creative and self-motivated leaders who can help plan organize and deliver our mission into new geographic areas. This position works directly with other experienced power instructors in your area who assists in facilitating quality instruction, with high motivation. The goal is to provide a quality product and to introduce our company as a company that cares about the success of the students. APT makes most effort to build long term relationships with our technical power clients/employees to help them complete our programs. S/he absolutely must have prior years of technical experience in the electric power industry specifically knowledge in power system basics, substation equipment, transmission lines, distribution facilities, customer services, system control, telecommunications, protective relaying and system normal/emergency operations. Knowledge in NERC power system operator training or any combination of the above is a major part of this position requirement. The individual must be open to flexible class schedules and travel scenarios. A **Strong professional skills with the ability to connect a student to the information that has a zero-knowledge background is a must**. To be considered for this position please email your resume.
Details: Position Requirements:
Technical Degree: Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineer with emphasis in power
Technical Experience: Minimum 10 years with an electric utility
High motivation, ambition with an ability to teach technical concepts to nontechnical students.
Added qualifiers: Experience teaching for a utility, course development experience, and ability/desire to promote our educational programs.
