Data Processing Supervisor
Anderson Direct Marketing is a well respected Direct Marketing Agency that is growing its Data Services / Digital Output organization into an exciting future. Anderson is seeking a Data Processing / Digital Print Programming Supervisor who is looking for an opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial, enthusiastic environment.

The candidate will oversee all data functions needed to analyze, design and manipulate “marketing” data; perform data hygiene and USPS postal sort processes, along with configuring text, data and graphics elements to create print output for laser devices.
Responsibilities:
Assigning the daily data processing of jobs as outlined on work orders with specified due dates.
Ensuring accuracy and quality of all programming output
Implementing the modification and addition of new processes and data management techniques as needed to continually improve the efficiency of the programming department.
Directing work with Print Composition software to create digital (laser) documents
Understanding of mail list processing software
Scheduling, planning and providing work direction to others.
Requirements
Ability to manage several complex projects
Knowledge of database tools, and graphic authoring software and techniques
Detailed knowledge of US Postal Service regulations, with ability to run mail-presort software.
Excellent organizational skills, including attention to precise details and accuracy
Detailed knowledge of Data Processing and Data Management tools and techniques
A strong understanding of programming concepts and logic, and an ability to utilize a variety of computer software to deliver accurate, outstanding results in a time sensitive environment.
Programming skills in FoxPro, SQL to enable the manipulation and “cleansing” of data files.
Understanding of mail list processing software, laser-digital print setup, development of industry specific production utility programs
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Qualifications
4+ years experience with data processing and/or digital print programming
4 years experience in the Print / Mail industry with some background in managing personnel and scheduling production jobs.
Demonstrated ability to manage files and queries using SQL-type tools
Demonstrated knowledge of variable laser document setup techniques
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Must have experience with the following applications or their equivalent:
FoxPro, SQL, Business Objects/Postalsoft or other mail-processing utilities, InDesign, XMPie
