We are currently searching for an Informatica Sr. ETL Engineer to join our Database Services team in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The SMSS Database Services Group is looking for a highly energetic and multitalented Informatica professional to support its Data Warehouse solution in multiple Data Center(s). You will be a member of the Business Intelligence Team. Primary responsibilities include ETL (extract, transform and load) development (PL/SQL), fully integrated relational and dimensional modeling, data quality, data auditing, and full life cycle management of data and metadata. Informatica PowerCenter 8.6 is the tool of choice for ETL efforts and data integration in Oracle database.
The Sr. ETL Engineer’s role serves as a critical member of the Business Intelligence team.
Responsibilities:
· Extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) for data warehouses
· Consolidating data from heterogeneous data sources.
· Identify, define and document business requirements, including translating business requirements into conceptual technical requirements.
· Migrating data from legacy systems
· Data modeling of relational and dimensional structures
· Designing and managing corporate metadata
· Act as liaison between business users and Database Services to guide the development and delivery of an enterprise data warehouse, as well as help solve business problems.
· Data cleansing for maximizing information quality
· Data profiling and data quality auditing
Qualifications:
· Delivered Data warehouse solution(s) to external and internal customers
· 5+ years hands-on experience as an ETL specialist specific to Oracle as target system.
· 5+ years of professional hands-on development experience in Oracle PL/SQL
· 3+ years experience with various Data Warehouse solutions and ETL tools such as Informatica
· 2+ years of working experience in a mission critical environment (Data Center, 365x24x7)
· Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL and analytical SQL
· Experience with tuning and optimizing database performance (Oracle 9i and/or 10G)
· Extensive PERL and shell script programming skills
· Knowledge of online analytical processing (OLAP) tools and data-mining software
· Ability to converse fluently with Finance dept., Game Team Producers, Platform Managers, and Executives and within the organization
· Excellent oral and written communications skill
· Team-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills
· High degree of initiative and the ability to work independently and follow-through on assignments
· Strong Trouble shooting skills and ability to help guide junior members of the team is a must. Able to work effectively as a member of a team
· Strong capabilities of performance tuning of Informatica Mappings, sessions and workflows. Experience of working for a Business Intelligence Competency Center is a definite plus.
