Description:
Looking for an entry-level software developer with university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Position will entail both programming and some light system administration. Applicant should be a quick learner, have a strong background in PHP, Java and web-based technologies. Also, applicant should be familiar with SQL and using CVS and/or Subversion for version tracking. Experience with JSP, Hibernate, Struts, Spring, XML, XSLT, and the MVC Architecture are a plus, but not required.
Main tasks will be to design, implement, test, and deploy applications in PHP that integrate with an existing Drupal content management system. Most applications will integrate with a SQL database on the back-end, so familiarity with SQL and database-concepts is a plus.
Excellent entry position with great potential for increasing skill set.
Required Qualifications:
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with developing PHP and Java based applications.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with HTML and Javascript.
• Familiarity with SQL.
• Familiarity with Subversion version-tracking system.
• Strong skills in written and verbal communications.
• Familiarity with Maven or Ant build tools.
• Familiarity with Apache web server.
• Interest to learn new technologies.
• Quick Learner.
Desired Skills but not required:
• Knowledge and experience with Struts, Spring, Hibernate, JSP, and Java.
• Knowledge and experience with MVC (Model View Controller) Architecture.
• Knowledge and experience with Postgres Database.
