Software QA Engineer

There are two QA Engineer positions available at an industry leader based in San Diego. Both of these positions are web-based application software tester positions. Successful candidates must have a strong background in web-based testing of applications built with Microsoft technologies. To be considered, you must have medium to strong hands-on skills with SQL queries, SQL 2005 or 2008, IIS 7.0 and virtual imaging (our client uses VMWare in its testing environment). Also, QTP (Mercury Quick Test Pro) experience is highly desirable. One position is focused more closely on back-end testing and the database, which will require strong SQL skills. It would also be a benefit if the individual in this role had experience with promotional marketing or email campaign application experience. Experience with devices and links between devices and applications is a huge plus for the other position. Both positions will join existing teams that are working with aggressive goals. Close teamwork and collaboration are a must. Experience in an Agile work environment is also a huge plus.

Requirements:
- 5 + years of formal software QA experience
- 2 + years testing web applications in a .NET environment
- Strong relational database experience and SQL querying experience using SQL Server
- Web platform experience using IIS
- Strong communication skills and desire to work in a team environment
- Automation testing experience a huge plus (QTP preferred)
