Job Overview
Reporting to Technology Product Management, and located in our San Diego, CA office, the Technology Applications Product Manager is responsible for overall product content life cycle management to include product enhancement, requirements planning, new product development and implementation.
This position requires significant content (documents, web pages, updates) development and maintenance skills including authoring and documentation of topics for training, rules and processes pertaining to SEC, FINRA, BSA and other regulatory agency rules and information. The selected candidate will develop stand-alone work as well as work across business units to implement updates for existing and regularly scheduled programs. This includes scheduled content updates including static and dynamic data and workflow applications and requires initiative and skill in project and team management. The candidate will also be called upon at times to support sales, develop specific custom customer applications and content and/or participate in and support overall marketing activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop summary content and educational courseware by interpreting regulatory rules, notices and legislation or performing analysis on a customers content and structuring it appropriately for delivery to a customer within the companies platform.
- Understand customer workflow, content and records management as it relates to the relevant products and services, at a very deep level, in order to translate market requirements into business requirements that meet customer criteria.
- Implement monthly compliance program on-time in support of customers and companies compliance requirements. Maintains a 12 month rolling plan for topics and manages the overall project team in development and implementation of the program.
- Manage content inventory, plans and implements all content and application modules on the specific platform(s) in-line with established strategy.
- Implement regular communication updates to company stakeholders and customers in order to drive visibility for new and updated content and applications as well as to drive higher frequency of use of the delivery platform content and applications.
- Work with customers in a consulting capacity to develop and implement custom content and workflow solutions where required.
- Manages and maintains Policy Document Management content (IA/BD/RR, etc.) and other policy manual content on the cMAX platform. Ensures that all quarterly or as delivered content updates are integrated onto the platform and that the platform is functioning as defined. Makes recommendations for changes, defect correction and future enhancements.
- Manage e-learning courseware library to include NRS FIRM Element and Third-party FIRM Element content that is integrated on the cMAX platform. Maintains an update schedule per course and ensure courses are updated with latest content or changes. Develops and integrates new courseware as needed. Makes recommendations for changes, defect correction and future enhancements.
- Develop business cases for new product development and product enhancements; develops product concepts. Performs business analysis and prepares recommendations and business plans as needed.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience. MBA a plus.
- Outstanding written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills.
- Intermediate to expert proficiency with MS Office applications, Internet applications, web search and/or SaaS applications.
- Understanding and/or application of regulatory requirements of SEC & FINRA. Knowledge of Banking or Insurance regulatory requirements a plus. Alternative regulatory experience will be considered depending on experience.
- Ability to analyze complex issues and synthesize into a specific action plan.
- May require travel from time to time to support initiatives and/or customer development efforts.
