Total Resource Management (www.trmnet.com) has an immediate need for a Consultant/Project Manager.
Description:
Qualified candidate will possess both Project Management and Implementation/Consulting experience. Particularly with Enterprise Asset Management software such as IBM Maximo Asset Management or IBM Tivoli Asset Management for IT. Qualified candidate will have experience that demonstrates the ability to deliver both Firm Fixed-Price and T&M projects on time and on budget with the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Primarily responsible for managing budget, scope and schedule for software implementation projects but will also have to perform various project tasks such as gather and document requirements and design specifications, configure and implement enterprise-wide software solutions.
This position requires experience with planning, directing and coordinating functions for multiple project areas including direct customer interaction with the ability to effectively resolve conflicts, manage expectations and provide professional correspondence at the management and executive level.
Directs, guides, and coordinates the activities of personnel performing project tasks with the ability to work independently.
Possesses knowledge of industry practices, standards and technology areas. Performs/Directs work in assigned projects to achieve project requirements and goals. Develops solutions to problems of varied complexity. Works independently and direct efforts of others.
Responsible for the control of all associated project documents and files. Maintains current and obsolete documentation for the project. Assembles document packages for the staff as required to assure that the latest version is utilized.
Responsibilities:
-Identify project requirements and the path to fulfill those requirements
-Provide recommendations on direction of project.
-Perform technical software implementation tasks
-Project staffing resource allocation and management.
-Manage project budgets
-Project staffing projections and allocations.
-Manage project schedules and deliverables.
-Identify opportunities for new business.
-Participate in on-site client meetings.
Required Skills, Experience, Education and Credentials:
-Four (4) years experience implementing an EAM solution.
-Two (2) years experience managing EAM implementation projects
-Understanding of asset management process
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Working knowledge of MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Misc.
-Candidate will live in the San Diego are and work from the San Diego office.
-Travel to other TRM offices and customer sites is required. (25% to 50% travel)
-Preference will be given to candidates with IBM Maximo experience and PMP certification.
