This is a fast-paced, multi-customer environment which offers reward and opportunity for growth. Were looking for a team player who will be responsible for working with development to design database schemas. They will also be responsible for database builds, releases and backup for the operational day-to-day activities maintaining Oracle databases in a LINUX environment.
Responsibilities:

Install, configure and upgrade Oracle server software and related products in a LINUX environment
Create and configure Oracle databases in a LINUX environment
Insure backup and recoverability using RMAN of Oracle databases in a LINUX environment
Provide 24/7 support of production databases
Maintain and refresh development and test databases with data as required
Create SQL scripts, functions, stored procedures and triggers using PL/SQL
Maintain ant and shell scripts
Establish effective database performance monitoring processes
Control and monitor User access to databases and maintain database security
Setup and maintain documentation and software development process standards
Design, develop and implement database schemas
Create logical database models and implement physical database designs
Skills, Education and Experience:
Strong teamwork capabilities including the ability to effectively work with leadership, peers and other internal and external individuals through projects, making sure project deadlines are met and projects enhance the goals and strategic direction of the company
Strong experience with databases in a high-scalability and high-reliability n-tier enterprise software application servers in a clustered environment and web applications in an ASP (Application Service Provider) environment.
Must have strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
Experience in Oracle database backup and recovery
Experience in SQL tuning and Oracle database performance tuning
Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meet project deadlines and work under pressure
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with a small team in a collaborative environment
Extensive experience with data management tools, data analysis, modeling
BS Computer Science or related field with 3+ years experience in database experience working primarily in a UNIX environment
Production DBA experience working in a mid to large size company preferred
