Field Service Technician- Contract-to-Hire

Qualifications
Must be able to identify and resolve problems while in the field as well as support Jr. Techs with any issues that arise above their scope of knowledge. Strong verbal and written communications are essential, particularly when supporting customers and documenting technical procedures and system configurations. Must be professional, career-minded, positive, reliable, and take initiative to perform well consistently.
„X The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years experience including demonstrated expertise within the field of networking.
„X Must have extensive experience working with Windows 2003/ XP/ Vista; Server 2000/2003/2008.
„X Must be able to recommend proper equipment for companies in server environments.
„X Must have extensive experience with Windows Server environments, Exchange 2000, 2003, 2007; Backups and Disaster Recovery.
„X Requires travel to client sites in San Diego and surrounding area, must have reliable transportation!
Duties will consist of but are not limited to the following:
„X Analyze/Troubleshoot technical issues in stand alone and server environments
„X Support/monitor/test/troubleshoot hardware/software problems
„X Upgrade and replace PC hardware and software
„X Configure and network peripherals
„X Set up TCP/IP and other network protocols
„X Basic understanding of VPN and security
„X Provide end users support for all LAN based applications
„X Build networks from ground up (upgrade or new)
„X Daily time tracking/management in order to fulfill busy schedule
„X Service and support clients with limited technical or direct supervision
„X Maintain customer confidence through technical expertise
„X Maintain detailed record of service calls
„X Project support for contract clients
„X Interface with project manager to meet customer requirements
„X Provide suggestions and solutions for improving client networks
„X Customer support via phone when necessary
„X Ensure customer uptime requirements are met and Preventative Maintenance work is completed on time
„X Participate in growth of company and maintain team environment
„X Insure compliance with all company policies and procedures
„X Lead efforts to modernize, upgrade, and convert customers existing equipment
Salary and Benefits
Salary range is between $38-42k yearly, commensurate to experience and education. We provide, holiday pay, vacation, dental and medical benefits once hired on as Full Time Employee.
