Its going to be over 100 degrees on Highway five so im thinking of doing the smart yet one hour longer route along the 101 coast. Ill be driving through Santa Barbara to Cal Poly to San Jose/Fremont area. I Need to get to Fremont by 7ish to pick up an a front bumper(should take nor longer then 20mins) and then ill continue to Berkeley and to my families house 10 mins West of San Rafael in Marin county.

We are trying to find a car to drive across country. We are up for any ideas, but ideally we would like to leave around the 16th of July and be back in Boston on the 28th. So if that means getting to the west coast and taking a plane back, or taking the plane to the west coast and driving back, that would be both fine with us.
We are two very responsible and considerate people, one female and one male, 28, 31 yrs old, both grad students at MIT
We are thinking about Nebraska as one of our destinations across the country, since we know another one of our colleagues that has a farm out there and is willing to show us around the farm for a day or two, but we are not married to that idea if it doesn't work out.

So we are not flying and if we are going to be in the car for 5 hours we are looking for a few cool girls to BS with on the way out and even back if you like.

So we do smoke cigs and 420 in the car so if thats a prob for you then don't hit me up, we drink,laugh and talk a little smack but it's all fun (But no drinking while were driving thats a little too crazy even on the way to Vegas!)

Have a larger BMW so there is plenty of room.

I'm hoping to get to Idyllwild later today or tomorrow. I have a car, but it's a carbureted and topless Jeep so it's hardly the ideal car for a long road trip with ga$ these days. If anyone is headed to Idyllwild today or tomorrow I'd gladly chip in towards gas and if anyone wants to ride with in the Jeep they can kick in towards fuel.
