Hiring part-time Beverage Merchandiser (30 hrs/week) for an organic beverage company
Region - San Diego
6 month contract with possible extension
Starts ASAP!!!
Responsibilities:
• Must be available to work Tuesday through Saturday
• Schedule, coordinate and prepare for demos in key accounts
• Execute scheduled demos in key accounts
• Educate and build awareness through consumer sampling at scheduled demos in key accounts
• Build and maintain product displays in compliance with company standards as needed
• Merchandising responsibilities will include maintaining appropriate product facings and shelf placement in beverage sections and throughout accounts including shelf allocation, cold equipment and off-shelf displays
• Ensure proper pricing, tags and promotional communication are current and correct
• Meet retail service expectations through daily communication, problem resolution, and appropriate follow up
• Transport, replace and maintain Point of Sale advertising as appropriate for accounts
• Maintain merchandising standards while rotating products each time in designated accounts
• Ability to repetitively lift, pull and push 50+ pounds, bend over, reach above head height, and kneel
• Maintains professional, team relationship with co-workers and customers
Accountabilities
• Conduct four demos per week (generally on Friday and Saturday)
• Will be accountable for maintaining company trade retail standards
• Accountable for ensuring proper activation of programs and promotions
• Manage maintain account route book
• 25 accounts per week will be merchandised
• Reporting will include: daily recap of accounts through daily route sheet, photos of displays and demos, end of the week detail report
• Maintain supply of samples sample materials and point of sale in vehicle at all times
• Maintain accurate expense report and mileage log
• Maintain company standards of appearance through use of proper company provided apparel
Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience required (Grocery/retail and consumer experience preferred)
• Must be able to use a personal vehicle during business hours with capabilities to hold samples and a cooler
• Experience working with minimal supervision
• Creative eye for building large scale displays
• Must own or have access to a personal computer with Microsoft office and ability to upload photos
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and friendly demeanor required
• Valid driver's licenses, current vehicle liability insurance, and clean driving record
• Must have the ability to repetitively lift, pull and push 50+ pounds, reach above head height, stand, walk, kneel, bend and reach
