Leo Hamel Fine Jewelers, a successful, upscale jewelry store serving San Diego County for 29 years is looking to hire an energetic Sales Manager to join our thriving team.
The ideal candidate has significant experience in managing high-end retail stores, as well as some experience with fine watches and/or jewelry (typically from working in a jewelry store). Responsibilities include overseeing seasoned salespeople, sales assistants and sales trainees. The successful candidate is highly responsible, dynamic and focused with a proven track record of successful high-end retail management. Candidate must be highly organized and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Experience and attributes required to succeed:
Significant high-end retail management experience
Ability to get what is needed and wanted out of a sales team
Experience with POS systems
Outstanding customer service skills
Backbone
Drive and ambition
Experience with fine jewelry and/or watches
Able to coach others to close and to personally close sales as needed
Collaborative attitude with managers of other departments
A singular focus on providing excellent customer service
Responsibilities in this position include:
Oversee a team of highly capable salespeople
Manage several sales assistants
Assist with training new salespeople
Monitor the floor at all times and control the flow of traffic
Maintain awareness of each sales cycle and assist as needed
Ensure that sufficient quantity and quality of outflow (calls and letters) is maintained
Be aware of our competitions strengths and weaknesses
Keep the sales team focused
Promote add-on sales
Coordinate continuous training opportunities for salespeople
Liaise with vendors to conduct training seminars
