Our firm is looking for a seasoned apartment regional manager to step in and fill a position currently occupied by a long time employee of the company who will be moved to another position as our organization continues to grow.
If you are organized, capable of traveling to Arizona, Las Vegas, and within Southern California, have experience in supervising multiple apartment communties through recent work experience, and work well with managing and training others, we would be interested in talking with you.
Our corporate offices are located in Downtown La Jolla, where we have been since 1993. Our company owns the apartment buildings we manage. We have been in business for 43 years, family owned and operated. We do not manage for other clients, only our own properties so a high degree of emotion and attachment is put into each property we own.
This is a 40+ hour work week that includes 30-40% travel. If you are someone who needs to be "off" on the weekends and like to turn your phone "off", this is not your cup of tea. You will need to be available on the weekends by phone to deal with on-site managerial related decisions and from time to time will need to visit the properties on the weekends.
This is a salaried position. You will need to live somewhere convenient to La Jolla for you to be considered seriously by our company because long commutes don't work on a daily basis.
Having a thorough understanding of what curb appeal means, being a great advertiser, and understanding not only the physical attributes of an apartment building but also the day to day operations of the apartment rental industry is essential for this job and either you have it or you don't.
We want someone who speaks English as their primary language, is capable of writing a great letter, and understands budgets and income statements and what it takes to be successful. If you don't possess these qualities, please don't waste your time because you won't be considered.
