About every three or four weeks, the dittoheads hear the comedian Rush Limbaugh bash unions and they regurgitate what they hear on CL. The unions are due for another bashing here shortly.
But, Chrysler has come up with a McBush/Clinton gimmick to get people to buy their gas-guzzling hogs. They will cap your gas at $2.99 a gallon for three years. You pay full price by a credit card at the pump, and Chrysler will rebate you the difference.
Stupidity? Absolutely! Chrysler is just begging to go broke. After they go broke are they going to have the tax payers bail them out like they did in the 70s; or like we are seeing with Bear Sterns? Or, will they just go broke, we chalk it up to the free market? Or will those free-market bunnies come on craigs list and defend their stupidity?
Chrysler can do what they want. Until they build me a Hybrid that gets 100 miles to the gallon I am not interested in their shitty cars. They would be better off putting that gas rebate money towards R&D for new types of technology (like hybrids) rather than wasting time with the fossil fuels further deepening America's addiction to oil.
