Job Duties:
Responsibilities:
- Entering purchase orders as requested by store managers
- Scouting for new and better suppliers
- Negotiating better prices with vendors
- Adding new items to our catalog as requested
- Managing inventory database
- Following up with customers when special orders are received
- Tracking backorders and following up with vendors to ensure timely delivery
- Assist with inspection of received orders
Requirements:
- Sophisticated communication skills, including strong initiative and organizational proficiency
- Self starter, motivated, easy to teach and get moving
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem solving skills
- Experience with QBPOS or similar inventory tracking software
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (vlookups, etc) and other Microsoft applications
- Minimum of two years experience in handling, purchasing, and receiving
- Demonstrates a high level of computer skills with knowledge of various applications
Compensation:
This position starts at $10/hour with benefits (medical/dental) after 90 days.
This is a full time position Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
Summary: We are looking for someone with buying experience who is technically proficient and organized, but also has the communication skills and confidence to make hard negotiations with vendors. We are in the jewelry industry so knowledge of jewelry/beading/jewelry components is a small plus.
