Job Title: Warrior Traditions Program Director
Qualifications:
MUST BE AN OIF/OEF VETERAN (WE WILL NOT REVIEW YOUR RESUME IF YOU ARE NOT AN OIF/OEF VETERAN)
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Knowledge of the San Diego military community and ability to do outreach with this population
Effective group presentation skills
Must be able to fluently read, write and communicate in English
Ability to do community outreach with the non-veteran community
Working knowledge of the VA, social service and mental health resources in San Diego County
Ability to oversee grant implementation and provide written reports and accounting of monies spent when required
Ability to liaison with VVSD staff and the mental health providers
Working understanding of combat PTSD and TBI
Duties:
Responsible for coordinating the Warrior Traditions Grant through VVSD and implementing the goals and objectives of the grant
Provide extensive regular outreach to both the military and non military communities in San Diego to educate the community about the Warrior Traditions Program
Provide oversight and coordination of Warrior Traditions groups in San Diego County
Assist participants with referrals to providers for appropriate services
Facilitate groups as needed
Generate reports
Job Status: Full-time - 40 hours per week, this is an exempt position.
