About the SEO Strategist position
We are looking for a highly seasoned SEO professional who is results driven and has technical knowledge to provide complex SEO strategies for clients across a number of industries. Superb communication skills, the ability to work with multiple teams and detailed deliverables are a must to drive SEO success and work well with the client teams. The SEO Strategist will drive, jointly create and oversee Geary Interactive’s search engine optimization strategies for each client to maximize traffic and profitability across all of our clients' websites and act as the team lead and technical expert.

Your Responsibilities include
• Conduct keyword research, and set KPI benchmarking and reporting for sites' organic search optimization efforts.
• Define SEO requirements in a product management capacity by recommending site enhancements that maximize ROI and increase rank of natural search result listings.
• Optimizing site architecture, optimizing URL structures and patterns for maximized indexing and keyword relevancy
• Conduct analysis to identify further optimization opportunities for each of our clients on a monthly basis
• Research and develop SEO best practices to identify new market opportunities and maximize traffic growth and identify a robust SEO keyword list.
• Develop strategies that leverage web 2.0, social networking, user generated content and PR releases to drive qualified traffic.
• Develop recommendations and execute on web 2.0, social networking services such as online reputation monitoring and set up of social media pages
• Manage deliverables, reporting, strategy implementation and all direct communications with internal IT department, analysts, paid search team, vendor partners and the management team.
• Follow up on status of SEO recommendations for all clients, provide implementation reviews/feedback.
• Set up a process to continuously educate clients on SEO best practices and emerging optimization techniques.

Background and Qualifications:
Minimum 3-6 years related experience. Advanced computer software skills. Good communication skills, written and verbal; ability to handle multiple projects.
• Minimum of 3 years experience post college on interactive agency or client side
• Proficiency in paid and free SEO tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs particularly Excel data modeling including use of pivot tables and Power Point
• Excellent analytical skills to analyze large quantities of cross marketing channels
• Hands on experience with web analytics tools & search engine referral tracking/benchmarking
• Experience working across multiple data sources
• A self starter with an ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Project management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with cross functional teams and individually to drive results
• Must have ability to work with teams in multiple locations
• Strong presentation skills
• Experience working in online businesses is critical
• Desired experience evaluating marketing channels
• Strong interest in keeping up to date with new and emerging tools and technologies relating to SEO
• Solid understanding of content management systems and knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, FLASH and CSS a plus
