San Diego, CA: Surgery scheduler/lasik & lens implant counselor needed for busy well-established one-MD and one-OD practice. The practice is one of the top, most progressive ophthalmology practices in the country using the lastest in technology and surgical techniques. This is a busy office which requires you to be able to multi-task efficiently and to work independantly, although we have a great team of co-workers who get along very well. The practice is in a new hospital-owned building, but is an independent practice.
Applicants should be professional, detail-oriented, organized, friendly, professional, enthusiastic, hard-working and dependable. Customer service skills are a must. This is a career opportunity with excellent working conditions with an opportunity for advancement. Recommended Skills: familiarity with Lasik & premium intraocular lenses such as Crystalens and Restor. If you have worked in a refractive Lasik practice as a surgery counselor you would be ideal for this position. Surgery counselors from similar practices such as Plastic Surgery would be able to cross-over and perform well in this position. Experience and skills with dealing with higher-end, higher educated and more demanding patients also preferable. Marketing and strong sales background a plus.
