Leading healthcare provider now recruiting for full time position. Only qualified resumes will be considered. This position is responsible for scheduleing advanced imaging studies in our centralized scheduling offices, using computerized scheduling system. Responds to telephone scheduling inquiries and provides knowledgeable and courteous assistance with all clients including patients, referring physicians, co-workers and supervisors. Works calmly and efficiently while handling heavy telephone demands. Answers calls promptly and in a polite and efficient manner. Obtains patients' demographic information including type of study/order information, medical history, and insurance information. Asks for authorizations as needed. Provides explanation of exam, preparation and description of study.
Schedule: Must be available Monday -Friday with hours ranging from 7am to 7pm. Occasional Saturdays may be required.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Typing skills of at least 25 wpm.
Requires strong computer skills for WINDOWS platform software.
Must have strong medical terminology and anatomy background.
Prefer experience in scheduling appointments in a Radiology or sub-specialization medical practice.
Must have strong organizational, follow through and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to work calmly with heavy telephone demands and ability to work in a professional manner with patients, staff also required.
Prefer bilingual English/Spanish, but other languages also a plus.
