Our Warrior Traditions Program consists of free, off-base, and confidential support groups for Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard and recently separated Combat Veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan to share their
experiences, receive assistance, and discuss any issues they may have relating to their service or it's effect on their life. Warrior Traditions is led by Combat Veterans who understand what they have gone through. A Licensed Clinician will also be present for those who may have difficulties they do not want to discuss in a group setting. We gladly welcome spouses and significant others to participate as they generally recognize the changes in their service member first. Refreshments provided.
We also run a “Spouse Night” the first and third Tuesday of each month that is primarily for the loved ones of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans. The main focus of the group for loved ones is to provide a safe environment to discuss the issues their service members are going through and what they can do to help cope with any difficulties that may have arisen out of their service members deployment. We have a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist onsite at all of these meetings that sits in on the group but can also conduct one on one sessions if need be. We provide refreshments and free childcare as well during our Spouse Nights.
This is a completely free service for all involved, it’s held off-base and away from clinics and hospitals. We don't take notes, we don't record anything, your level of participation is completely up to you.
