Admissions Representative

The NewSchool of Architecture & Design is a private postsecondary college whose mission is to develop technically competent, aesthetically sensitive, socially responsible professionals in the fields or architecture and media arts.

The college is currently accepting resumes for the position of Admissions Representative. This is a full time position commencing immediately.
The Admissions Representative determines student applicants' admissibility to the college, advises potential students on admission requirements and options, transfer/articulation, and related issues. Essential duties include:

• Build a positive image of NewSchool in all interactions with individuals and groups through responsible, reliable and professional communication and relationship-building.
• Make daily phone calls to assigned leads. Secure appointments to interview and conduct the interviews with prospective students by phone or in person to clarify objectives and determine needs. Follow-up with applicants on a weekly basis and assist them in completing all necessary documentation required for acceptance
• Tour prospective students and their families and visiting school groups or counselors through all facilities. Advises students and families regarding educational opportunities and options, admission and other requirements, policies and procedures, transfer of credit, and financial assistance, as appropriate.
• Keep accurate and timely records of all required data in compliance with daily, weekly and quarterly reporting responsibilities.
• Meet weekly, monthly and start goals.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Previous sales, marketing or admissions experience
• Flexible schedule, with ability to work some Saturdays.
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Comfortable with heavy computer and phone use.
