1991 Trek 6000 Aluminum, made right here in the good ole USA with good ole American hands out of good ole American Alcoa 6061 T6 aluminum. Frame is 18" - fits anyone from about 5'9" up to 6 feet. Light bike too. By estimation of my arm, I'd say about 25-26lbs.
Condition is good, not great. There aren't many chips or dings in the frame, just color fade from sitting in the sun. The 21-speed Suntour XC LTD and Dia-compe components work perfectly (dialed in by a bike mechanic), but they have a little surface rust here and there. Has brand new grips and a Shimano LX front wheel.
Functionally, a perfect bike. Cosmetically not perfect, but for $100, she's a quality machine.

This incredible Intense Tracer started out as a bare frameset and over time became something more. A bike carefully spec'd with components that give the bike a beautiful performance balance. It already features Specialized fantastic FSR suspension design complete with patented Horst link but the bike then goes way beyond that into the realm of the dream bike. Like other dominant boutique manufacturers such as Ellsworth and Santa Cruz, Intense makes every bike right here in the United States. Started in a garage in Lake Elsinore California in 1991, Intense cycles was founded like so many small MTB makers. With not much more than pennies in a guys pocket and a passion for the sport Intense Cycles began garage based production and now, some sixteen years later, Intense Cycles has grown to global proportions without losing its handmade quality. Every frame is handcrafted, in house, and with terrific attention to detail. Other companies will pay overseas factories to make their 'American DESIGNED' (but not American built!) frames but this production chain allows for too many variables... too many weak links. By keeping everything in house it allows Intense Cycles to build something special. Bikes specific to the mountain biking lifestyle. These are not "one-size-fits-all" sort of designs. They are engineered and built for durability and speed.
Handcrafted isn't everything though. Performance, ultimately, is the most important traits to have in a trail bike. There are other bikes out there that claim to offer this bikes performance envelope but often times their bark is louder then their bite. The reason for this bike amazing handling is due to the rear suspension. The Fox Float RC is one of the best rear shocks ever made and alternately offers up one of the best reliability records out there. With a flip of the ano blue lever you can lockout the rear completely as well as dial in dampening performance via a red dial. When combined with the often confusing and much debated "Horst Link" you have an absolute monster of a trail bike.
The Horst Debate: The root of the debate lies in the single rear pivot which creates what’s known as the Horst Link. The Horst Link, for those of you who are new to this debate, is a set of rear pivots located on the chainstay just below and in front of the rear drop-out. This suspension design element is named after designer Horst Leitner who created the design back in 1991. Though AMP went belly up (as far as bikes are concerned) in the late 90’s the design has lived on in Specialized Bicycles line of bikes. Specialized bought the Horst Link patent in May of 1998 and has used the courts to rid competitors’ bike lines of the Horst Link ever since. Giant, GT, Jamis, Ellsworth (though Tony would contend this point), Turner, Titus, Intense and, yes, Litespeed all used (or still use) the Horst Link on their bikes. Why? What’s so damn great about this simple pivot point? Oh, that’s a long story, so I’ll strive to keep this short: the Horst Link essentially allows the rear suspension to cycle freely—even when the rear brakes are applied. This is critical because you typically want your rear suspension to move in as smooth and uninhabited a fashion as possible when you’re bombing down some challenging terrain with that right brake lever locked in a death grip. This design separates braking and pedaling forces from the rear suspension. Instead of chain tension and braking, causing "brake jack" or pedal "kick back", the Horst link allows the wheel to move freely in a vertical path. In fact, the Horst link will cycle up and down with the rear tire locked nearly as well as it will when it is rolling, because the axle is on the seatstay and the seatstay is "decoupled" from the suspension. A Horst link design is often referred to as a "fully active" system, meaning it's free to compress and rebound at all times, both when the rider is in the saddle and standing up. Not only is the suspension independent from chain forces under pedaling loads, but it allows you to maintain an efficient pedal stroke since the suspension action has no effect on it. Specialized owns this patent and paid BIG BUCKS for it because it works!
Ok, now on the the drivetrain... The bike is powered by some top drawer components... Shimano XT/XTR mix along with Hayes hydro disc brakes, Thompson stem, Bontrager saddle and seatpost, Easton bars, and BRAND NEW BONTRAGER RACE LITE WHEELS! Shimano XT front and XTR rear dérailleurs are controlled by Shimano XT trigger shifters. Hydro disc brakes stop this bike in any condition and the 175mm RaceFace Turbine cranks carry 44/32/22 tooth chainrings. The 2008 Bontrager Race lite wheelset is top drawer stuff and not only lightening this bike considerably, they are immensely strong and durable. Tires are like new, foldable, Panaracer FireXCPro in a 2.1 size. This bike needs NOTHING! The bike shifts, brakes and handles like new and looks fantastic! The pictures hopefully show just how amazing this bike is and if you are in the market for a top of the line trail bike you need look no further then this. You will not be disappointed with this bike!
Rock Shox Reba Fork. This amazing fork is a technological tour de force for Rock Shox. It is an air fork which keeps it lightweight and yet with both positive and negative air chambers it offers outstanding plushness. With U-Turn technology, a simply twist of a dial will adjust the travel of the fork without a need for an air pump or tools. You can choose between 85-115mm within just seconds for varying trail conditions. Also the fork offers the optional remote lockout feature called "Poploc". Just ratchet the lever down and the fork locks out to aid climbing performance. It also has motion control damping which allows this fork to be big bump compliant and yet be small bump friendly as well. It has an amazing range of adjustment and places this fork on the very short list of the best available on the market today. Fork is in outstanding condition with just a few marks to the stickers and operates like new.
This bikes cosmetic condition is very good as you can see. It has some cable rub here and there and minor marks from the chain nicking the chain stays. There are very few paint chips or even scratches and this one owner bike has been very well cared for. Ride time on the bike is less then average and the overall condition is much better then what you would normally see with most high-end mountain bikes. The graphics and all in very good condition and the paint combination of jet black and yellow graphics are outstanding! Lastly, there is some minor marks on the rear dérailleur as you can see. Much of the rest of the bike either has brand new components or has been recently upgraded. Whomever gets this bike will be thrilled.
Intense rates this frame as a Medium. It is 18" measured center to top of seat tube with a 29.75" stand over height. The bikes reach measures 27 inches as measured from the center of the seat tube to the center point of the where handlebars attach to the stem. Effective top tube length is 23.5". Due to this bike compact frame geometry, this bike can fit a very wide range of riders. 5' 6" all the way to just under 6' will fit this bike with adjustment. The bicycle's compact, aluminum construction features a capable front suspension, folding pedals, and particularly adjustable handlebars. It will be sold with a bell, and a comfortable, well designed carry bag (as per the rock climber) with padded shoulder strap.
The resale value for these bikes won't soon tumble, given the cost of natural resources, and that the right owner makes the nearly zero occasional maintenance adjustments. As for price, I'm all about mutual self interest. The price is a very competitive $300, considering the condition, and minimal use. I'll go ahead and gift us five to ten more minutes of potentially stimulating face time by removing the need for conventional peace talks. $270 firm.

I bought this great road bike from Performance Bikes in Sept. 2006, used it for a couple of months, and have barely ridden it since. I’ve recently moved and decided it’s time to sell it.
The bike is fully equipped – here are a few of its features:

It was always kept inside my apartment when not in use and is in very good shape. A solid bicycle that I used for exercise and short commutes.
The model of the bike is the Sorrento. It was bought a couple years ago and I cannot tell you specifically which year this is. Perhaps 2006?
